The Xiaomi MI 8 went on  in China and sold out within the minute.The next flash sale is going to be on June 12 at 10 a.m. local time.





                                 


The Mi 8 is powered by octa-core processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Mi 8 packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies.



The Mi 8 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.

Xiaomi has revealed that it sold 1 million units of its Mi 8 series smartphones in less than three weeks. The Chinese smartphone maker claims to have sold one million units within 18 days, which is faster than 22 days One Plus 6 to achieve the same feat.


The details regarding the strong sales of Mi 8 smartphones were shared by Donovan Sung, the global spokesperson for the company. The Mi 8 series consisting of Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer were announced at company’s 8th anniversary event last month. Only the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE are currently available for purchase and are limited to select markets. The sales would be driven primarily by Xiaomi home market of China, but the company hasn’t divulged those details.

Xiaomi Mi 8 128 GB mobile features a 6.21" (15.77 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo) operating system. The device is powered by Octa core, 2.8 GHz, Kryo 385 processor paired with 6 GB of RAM. As far as the battery is concerned it has 3400 mAh. 

Over that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 12 MP camera Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor supporting a resolution of 4000 x 3000 Pixels and the front snapper is powered by a Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor. Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Compass, Gyroscope.

Three variants – Redmi 6Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Plus/ Pro – are confirmed to be launched at the event in China on June 12, 2018. 



As we mentioned, Xiaomi has teased "lag-free performance" on the Redmi 6 in terms of long-term use. However, the company hasn't yet revealed any specifications, features, pricing details, or availability timelines around the same. We can expect things to be clearer once the Redmi 6 is unveiled at the event next week.
